Good luck comes in 3's!

Wooooaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!! This week was AWESOME! (No baptisms, but still pretty good!) We got some really good references from some members and we started working on teaching them The Word or more commonly referred to "as A Palavra" here, in Portuguese. Everything worked out this weekand our investigators read what we marked, they prayed when we asked, went to church, and did ask in faith if they should be baptized. Itwas a week of miracles because everyone moved forward! Next week, hopefully we will be blessed again and can baptize some of these faithful people! This week we got a new companion, too! I don'remember what I said last week, but his name is Elder G. Santos and he is awesome! Its funny because I now have been in a trio just as long as I've been in a duo during my mission! Crazy! But, I do like being in a trio because it gives me more people to observe. I learn how they teach and talk to people and it helps me a lot with my Portuguese! My Portuguese by the way, thanks to a whole lot of help from the gift of tongues and my companions, is acceptable now! WOO HOO!!! Finally I feel like I understand what people are saying...basically all the time and I can respond to them too!Its been amazing and very humbling learning a new language and learning all about the people of Brazil. I love the people here and love the experiences that I am having here! Have a great week you all!

Love you all!!! Tchau for now!

(Also we made a pizza that I could eat which was super good. BOOM another miracle!)

The Charles Weekly Ch. 27

This past week has been really great! I had a baptism AND it was the 4th of July! Woohoo America! This week we baptized a boy named Julio which was amazing because during his baptism his friend got up to share his testimony and he said that Julio was one of his best friends and that he knows and is happy that Julio was making the best choice that he could make in his life to be baptized. They both started crying and it really was super special because seeing teenagers who are 14 say things like that really means they get it. They get what the gospel can do for them and they understand the significance. It really was the highlight of my week! I learned something this week that I will never forget. We did a division with some members who are in the ward and I left with a guy named Lucas who is a returned missionary. We went to visit some less actiive members and we met with a grandma of someone in the ward. We went there and talked and talked about why its important to go to church and towards the end she opened up to us. She said that she has health problems that make it dificult to walk let alone get to the church. She said she wants to go but she cant walk there. When she was first baptized the bishop would give her a ride to the church and a ride back to her house, so she could attend the meetings.  But, after 3 months of this she started to feel guilty, like she was a burden. As she told us this, she started to tear up about feeling as if she was a burden on the Bishop...that she was a chore that he had to do every Sunday. She started to cry and said that she had the faith that if she went to church she would be healed. I dont have a story of a woman miraculously healed, yet, as a part of my missionary experience, but seeing her made me think that maybe when I have helped someone in the past, maybe they felt like they were a burden for me, but really I´ve never felt that way. I've never felt like someone was a hassel to deal with or a burden on my life. We all are sons and daughters of God and we all need to help one another through this life. If you feel like a burden because someone is helping you, know that you aren´t! Don't be ashamed to ask for help because we all need it. Missing out on blessings because you dont want to be a burden or you dont want people to help you is ridiculous! We all need help and we should all help those who need it. We have all been blessed with different talents and blessings and we should share in these blessings with our Brothers and Sisters of God. So, this week I have a challenge for everyone who is reading this: Help someone or ask for help with something that you struggle with. We are all here on Earth to help one another return to Heavenly Father...so move forward and help others.

Thanks for reading my loyal subscribers of the Charles Weekly and if you have a cool experience then email it to me! I think it would be awesome to hear what you all come up with to help one another.

Hope you all have a great week and like my pics!

We had another boy from the ward baptize (not the one from the story but a different friend). Also here is a train I saw which I thought was cool because it was the first time I went on the train.

FUTEBOL!!!

Man today has been AWESOME! I mean this week too, but like today was really great! I got to have a bbq with some of the other missionaries around the area which was super delicious and we all played some soccer afterwards which was super fun! But, I'm super bad compared to some of the people here, lol, but HEY i guess that means there is room for improvement! We heard all about the game between Mexico and Brazil today and how it ended up 2-0!!! GO BRAZIL!! Everyone here talks about the World Cup and even I only talk about the World Cup which is surprising cause  i dont know the first thing about soccer! But you learn quickly when everyone talks about it, non-stop! This week we invited a billion people to play soccer and it turned out great and we are going to have a baptism this next week because of it, too! We met with all the boys who came to play and then asked who didnt know us, so we got addresses and started teaching them. One of them had met with the missionaries before and was interested in being baptized! Pretty neat how things end up working out like that! Anyways thats pretty much it for this week, You all better be cheering for Brazil in the World Cup cause the USA isnt there and everyone knows the 2nd best country in the world is Brazil!!!! So GOOOOO BRAZIL! And have a great week everyone!!!
